LoveTheGloves.com strongly believes that leather gloves should fit perfectly and comfortably on your hands. They should feel like a second skin.
Sizing is based on a normal or standard sized hands. Unfortunately, almost no one actually has a standard sized hand. No two people’s hands are the same and no pair of hands match exactly. Similarly, no two pair of leather gloves are exactly the same. Each pair is cut individually and, since leather is a natural product, no two skins are the same, nor is the leather uniform throughout the skin.

While we try to be exact, some gloves will have a little more stretch in the width, and some a little less. We refer to these as "soft"(a little more stretch) and "firm"(a little less stretch) sizes. You can check this by pinching the sides of the glove on either side of the knuckle area and pulling outwards. A "perfect" size should stretch about 3/4" for an unlined glove, 1'' for a lightly lined glove, and 1 1/4'' for a thickly lined glove. A "soft" pair will have slightly more, a "firm" pair slightly less. People with shorter fingers should try going down 1 size and trying on a "soft" pair. People with longer fingers should go up 1 size and trying a "firm" pair.
To find out your actual glove size, follow the 5 easy steps listed below:
1. Find a flexible measuring tape so that you can measure your dominant hand; the left if you are left-handed and the right if you are right handed. Usually this hand is slightly larger than the other.
2. Extend your dominant hand flat and wrap the measuring tape around your knuckles to make a loose fit.
3. Keep the measuring tape on your knuckles and make a fist with your hand.
4. Loosen the measuring tape around your knuckles if you feel it’s too tight or to match how you prefer your leather gloves to fit. (Tight on the knuckles for a TIGHT FIT or a bit loose for a more RELAX FIT).
5. Record your measurement in inches, then view the size charts below that pertains to your choice of gloves.
You will know when your leather gloves are fitting perfectly by how they feel at the base of your fingers and thumbs. There should be little to no bagginess at your knuckles when you make a fist, then release.
